100% of donations pay for formula, food, housing, medicine, and veterinary care.
Return2Wild rescues and rehabilitates orphaned, ill, and injured wildlife and returns healthy animals to their natural habitat. We provide a safe sanctuary, a warm bed, healthy food, and expert medical care to give each animal a second chance to thrive and return to their wild home.
We are a Community Resource for wildlife education to engage humans in wildlife care, conservation, habitat preservation, and peaceful and safe coexistence.
.... on baby animals
Return2Wild exists to give orphaned wildlife a second chance, not impact their best chance.
When it comes to baby animals the truth is,
no matter how good our intentions or interventions,
nothing replaces momma!
Our 1st Priority: successfully reuniting a 'suspected' orphan with mom 🥰

Susan Siegel, the founder of Return2Wild, is a Critical Care Nurse and a licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator. She is an active member of the Wildlife Rehabilitator's Association of Massachusetts (WRAM) and the National Association of Wildlife Rehabilitators (NWRA). She is a passionate advocate and caregiver for our local wildlife. She leads the R2W team in nursing animals back to health and eventual freedom!
Together with a team of committed volunteers, professional rehabber colleagues, veterinarians, generous benefactors, and the kindness of our Rescuers (YOU), WE collaborate, care, and commit ourselves to giving local wildlife a second chance at a healthy, wild, and free life ...
as nature intended.

This baby squirrel was rescued by a very kind member of the public when he ran up their leg at a park. That is a key sign that a baby is orphaned and asking for help. This little fella was raised with other squirrels of the same age and they were eventually all released together ❤️.
The vision for the future of Return2Wild is to be a nationally recognized center of excellence for wildlife rehabilitation and conservation, with the expertise and facility to accept all species in need of care, from the tiniest baby chipmunks, to neighborhood carnivores, to the incredible raptors that share this earth with us.
Together, we are responsible for the animals of this earth and the preservation of the habitats in which they live. We hope you will join us in this journey!

River Otters like this little fella are intelligent and curious creatures requiring very unique environments enriched with activities, on land and in water, to learn the skills they need to survive.
Wildlife Rehabilitators are not paid nor funded by the state or federal government. The R2W team are all volunteers; we do not charge for the rescue and rehabilitation of the wildlife brought to us by the public, an Animal Control Officer, or a Massachusetts Game Warden.
We rely solely on public donations to pay for formula, food, housing, medicine, and veterinary expenses which support the animals from admission to release.
We are so very grateful for your support. We cannot do this without you!
Thank you for being part of our team. 🥰
